UNESCO commends Cambodia for the inscription of Koh Ker on the World Heritage List

On 17 September 2023, the World Heritage Committee inscribed Koh Ker: Archeological Site of Ancient Lingapura or Chok Gargyar, on the UNESCO World Heritage List during its extended 45th session in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This marked a momentous achievement in the commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia to the preservation of cultural heritage, and a key milestone in the recognition of Cambodia's rich heritage worldwide.
