Itinerary

Your local tour guide and private driver will pick you up from your hotel and we will commence our tour heading to Kbal Chhay Waterfall, located in Khan Prey Nup, 16kms north of downtown Sihanoukville. A former hideout of the notorious Khmer Rouge, Kbal Chhay Waterfall today serves as a popular tourist destination and a clear water reservoir for the nearby town. The water gathers from several sources and cascades 14 m (46 ft) over multiple tiers. Take a dip in the refreshingly cool pool and the bottom of the waterfall, or buy some snacks from the local food stalls and find the perfect place for a picnic. The lush green area around the falls serves as a popular picnicking spot. **Remark: Visit to Kbal Chhay Waterfall is seasonal. We do not recommend visiting during the dry season (Nov – Jun) . We will have lunch at a local restaurant.

This afternoon we continue to Wat Intrangean / Wat Krom Buddhist Monastery you will have a chance to visit Cambodian Buddhist monks and learn about the intriguing history behind this temple. Buddhist temples and pagodas are the foundation of Cambodia’s community focused lifestyle. Today it is known for an extensive academic library and as the Centre of Khmer Studies and Culture promoting a greater understanding of Khmer culture.

Next is Sihanoukville’s main local market Psar Leu Market, a cultural experience in itself, this market is filled with everything you can imagine from local fruit and fresh produce and of course, fresh seafood.
